Carry the spare. Reach the roof. Move the gear outside.
Purpose-built tire ladder carriers and exterior storage boxes that turn unused rear-door space into a stronger, lighter and more useful part of your van.
Built around access, load control and real travel gear.
A rear-door system should do more than hang weight from the van. Tec Vanlife designs around how you climb, how the spare tire is supported, how the carrier folds for service and how wet, bulky or dirty equipment stays outside the living space.
Two jobs. One compact rear-door structure.
The Sprinter Tire Ladder Carrier combines a high-strength aluminum ladder with a heavy-duty stainless-steel tire-support structure. Wide curved-extrusion steps create a sure foothold while helping keep boots away from the painted door as you climb.
The folding tire-holder arm simplifies access and service. A rubber cone centers and separates the spare from the support structure, while the tire rod can accept a lock for added security.
- Spare tires up to 35 inches in diameter
- 25 kg / 55 lb carrier weight
- Lightweight aluminum ladder structure
- Stainless-steel load-bearing tire support for fatigue resistance
- No-drill rear-door attachment using supplied hardware
- 2019+ Sprinter VS30, Revel and Storyteller applications
- Requires compatible 180-degree rear-door hinges

Curved anti-slip extrusion
The custom step shape adds grip and creates useful foot clearance so your boot is less likely to strike the van while climbing.

Folding tire-holder arm
The compact folding support makes tire handling and carrier access more practical without turning the rear door into a bulky fixed structure.

Stainless support and lock-ready rod
The load-bearing stainless member resists fatigue, while the rubber cone separates and centers the spare. The threaded tire rod can be secured with a compatible lock.
Sprinter and Ford Transit carrier options.
The two-in-one idea carries across both platforms, but rear-door hinges and mounting geometry are vehicle-specific. Always choose the carrier made for your van.

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter
For 2019+ VS30 Sprinter, Winnebago Revel and Storyteller applications. The current product requires compatible 180-degree rear-door hinges.

Ford Transit
Vehicle-specific Transit carrier variants are available for 180-degree and 270-degree rear-door hinge configurations. Confirm your hinge type before ordering.
Purpose-built aluminum and carbon-fiber options for tools, camp gear, generators, long equipment and everything you would rather carry outside the living space.
Boxes for generators, camp gear, skis, snowboards, golf bags and more!
The Grande, Venti and Trenta families cover everyday bulky equipment through long multisport gear. Each format is available in aluminum and a lightweight carbon-fiber-and-aluminum construction, letting you balance price, carrier load and the gear you need to move outside.
All-aluminum
Durable, repairable and well suited to generators, recovery equipment, tools and camping gear. Aluminum models provide the familiar rugged construction many van builders prefer.
Carbon-fiber hybrid
Engineered to preserve strength while reducing empty weight. Current specifications: Venti is 24.7 lb versus 52 lb in aluminum; Grande is 20.9 lb versus 37 lb in aluminum.
Choose the shape around what you carry.

Grande · Aluminum
19.7 × 15.7 × 23.6 in · 37 lb empty weight.
For bulky camping, recovery and utility gear.

Grande · Carbon
19.7 × 15.7 × 23.6 in · 20.9 lb empty weight.
High-volume storage with substantially less empty-box weight.

Venti · Aluminum
19.7 × 15.7 × 29.5 in · 52 lb empty weight.
A taller utility format for camp gear, tools and equipment.

Venti · Carbon
19.7 × 15.7 × 29.5 in · 24.7 lb empty weight.
The taller format at less than half the aluminum-model weight.

Trenta · Aluminum
Long-form multisport storage for skis, snowboards, golf bags and other elongated equipment.

Trenta · Carbon
19.7 × 15.7 × 75.6 in · 49 lb empty weight.
Long-gear capacity with carbon-fiber-and-aluminum construction.
Two heights. Aluminum or carbon. Exterior L-track for more gear.
Split-door boxes create lockable exterior storage while preserving a narrow rear-door footprint. Both material families are offered in 29.5-inch and 39.4-inch heights, each 21.7 inches wide and 17.7 inches deep. Exterior L-track adds tie-down and accessory-mounting flexibility.

Aluminum split-door box
Lockable aluminum construction in 29.5- or 39.4-inch height options.

Carbon split-door box
The same two footprints in a carbon-fiber format designed to reduce rear-door load.
Confirm the van, carrier and total installed load.
Vehicle and hinges
Confirm year, model, rear-door hinge type and available opening angle before choosing any tire ladder carrier.
Carrier compatibility
Match the storage box to its required rack or rear-door carrier and verify mounting-hole, latch and door-clearance requirements.
Complete weight
Add the carrier, empty box, spare tire and cargo—not just the product’s empty weight—then compare the total with the van and carrier limits.
Carry more without giving up the living space inside.
Choose the vehicle-specific tire ladder carrier, storage-box size and material that fit the way you travel.
